Smile Tours Service in HCMC has been highly recommended by many cruise travelers on www.cruisecritic.com http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=19471222 April 8th, 2009, 09:22 AM | macro duck Cool Cruiser | | Join Date: Aug 2008 Posts: 46 |

On our recent cruise we did HCM city on a private tour with a company called Smile Tours. We paid $64 per person for a full day tour and we saw more than those on the Princess Tours at half the price.

| Private Tour to HCM
We were on the same cruise with Roger and his wife and took the same private tour in HCM City through Smile Tours. Yes, the Smile Tour van did pull directly up to the gangplank to pick us up. There asked for all our passport information several weeks before we departed, this allowed them to get through security and onto the pier. And of course they dropped us back directly at the pier on the return.

Hi
We recently used smile tours Vietnam whilst onboard the Queen Victoria.
I would recommend them without a problem - their service was fantastic.
Their web address is smiletoursvietnam.com they will ask for your passport details which worried me at first however my concerns were not justified. They need these details in order to get the port permit they need to get onto the dock. When you see the dock area you will realise that this is a huge bonus as I would not like to have to try and navigate it myself. They also get you through customs without a problem.
You do not pay for the tour until the end of it (or at some point during the day) so nothing up front.
We found that we were well ahead of the ships tours which was a big bonus as we beat the crowds at the museums etc.
You can tailor the tour around your own interests which was good for us too.
We went to the restaurant they recomended opposite the Ben Trahn market - Pho 2000 - the food here was very good and also cheap - even some on the tour with us who would not normally eat any food other than on the ship enjoyed it.
If we ever went back to HCMC we would definately use Smile Tours again.
I hope you have as much of a good day as we had. |

Hi, Did you have any issue, as mentioned in another post, of Princess making you wait to diembark until all their own tour passengers, thus delaying your tour?. |
No we did not have any delay disembarking - we got off at the same time as people on the Princess tours and in fact were en route to HCM city before many of the Princess tour coaches. Just to confirm the post above the website for the firm we used is http://www.smiletoursvietnam.com/ and they are highly recommended.
